The Neighborhood
The Roaring Fork Valley lies along Highway 82 between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It is made up of a string of smaller communities with a combined population of roughly 40,000 full time residents. It is a rapidly growing and affluent area. Grace Church sits exactly in the middle of the valley draws people from the whole valley.
While in many ways our valley is an idyllic place to live, it also presents many challenges to Christian belief and formation. There is no end to the spiritual, economic, and recreational distractions available here. As a result, the valley is in the lowest five percent of Church attendance in the United States. And while our community is one of the physically healthiest in the nation, we are also suffer from some of the highest rates of divorce, addiction, suicide and mental un-health in the nation.
Many people move here to live in one of the most beautiful places in creation, but so many have not experienced the life-changing love of their creator.
Grace Church
Grace Church was founded in 2002 and as an independent (non-denominational) church, the congregation represents a wide range of denominational and religious backgrounds. Yet we have found unity and a common mission centered around some core values: a deep love of the gospel of grace offered in Jesus, biblically based preaching and teaching, warm hospitality, practical acts of care, and a mission-minded outlook for the wider community.
In 2015 the founding pastor resigned and the church experienced a significant decline, but since 2018 God has brought Grace through a season of renewal. We believe He is just getting started and we are building a team of people who want to be a part of revitalizing Grace Church in an area desperately in need of healthy, gospel-centered churches.
